The project to transform this beautiful 17th century Tuscan farmhouse into a stunning luxury villa is well under way and making excellent progress. Located in a secluded area of the Castello del Nero Estate, the property has uninterrupted views of the beautiful surrounding countryside and a few minutes walk from the hotel.
San Luigi is being carefully restored to retain its existing charm and beauty established over hundreds of years, whilst being fitted with all the conveniences of modern luxury living
It is a very exciting time on the development site, with all structural works – including new stairs and the concrete ring around the house connected to the stairs – completed. On the roof, new beams and trusses have been installed and next week will see Cotto tiles mounted between the trusses. The plaster at ground level is complete and the Cotto vaults have been cleaned with high pressure water and are now exposed. Everyone involved with this restoration project is working hard to keep everything on schedule and, so far, all goals are being reached so watch this space for more pictures and information as work continues.
